The Journalism program has produced great graduates over the years who have risen to the top of their fields in journalism, the public service, law, communications – all corners of the media and civil society.<\/p>\n

A handful of them were back on campus to help celebrate the Faculty of\u00a0<\/a>Public Affairs’ “75 for the 75th”<\/a> featuring prominent FPA alumni – including a dozen Journalism grads – in honour of Carleton’s 75th anniversary.<\/p>\n

On hand to help celebrate: the head of News and Current Affairs at Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Radio-Canada, Michel Cormier (BJ ’79)<\/a>, the CBC’s Susan Ormiston (BJ ’81)<\/a>, the Globe<\/em>‘s Mark MacKinnon (BJ ’97)<\/a>, Heba Aly (BJ ’06)<\/a> of IRIN News, TSN’s James Duthie (BJ ’89)<\/a>, Politico’s Anca Gurzu (BJ ’09)<\/a>, the Public Sector Integrity Commissioner, Joe Friday (BJ ’83)<\/a> – not to mention the Wall Street Journal<\/em>‘s Greg Ip (BA Economics and Journalism ’89)<\/a>, who also delivered the annual Currents Lecture.<\/a><\/p>\n
