Rena Bivens, Assistant Professor<\/p><\/div>\n

Prof. Rena Bivens<\/a> has published an article in the latest issue of No More Potlucks<\/em><\/a>, a Canadian online journal of arts and culture.<\/p>\n

Drawing on personal and professional experiences, Prof. Bivens questions \u201cto what extent can we know or reckon with sexual violence when survivorhood codes have the potential to engulf all that surrounds them.\u201d<\/p>\n

The piece, entitled \u201cCoding Sexual Violence, or Realizing your \u2018Survivor\u2019 Identity is Part of the Problem,\u201d<\/a> can be read in full online.<\/p>\n

Prof. Bivens is an Assistant Professor in the Communication and Media Studies program, whose research investigates social media software, gender, and journalism practice.<\/p>\n
