Students in our 4th year Spanish classes welcomed a guest speaker from the Embassy of Spain (Ottawa) to their classes last Thursday. La Señora Maria de los Santos Espejo, an Education Advisor with the Embassy, presented details about Spain’s Cultural Ambassador program as well as information about Spain’s many and diverse regions.
“The purpose of the Cultural Ambassador program is to provide North American students, who are native speakers of English or French, with the opportunity to assist teachers in the English or French programs in elementary, secondary, or language schools in Spain.”
Instructors Yolanda Botero-Biton and Janett Martinez-Amador plan to welcome more guest speakers later in the semester from the Embassies of Peru, Argentina, Chile, and Colombia.
