SLaLS bids a fond farewell to long-time ESLA instructor Julia Carey.
Julia began teaching in SLaLS in 1982 and has, over the past 20+ years, played an influential role in the evolution and conscious development of the Academic English as a Second Language program at Carleton. Her vision has had a lasting impact on how incoming international students develop the English language proficiency, study strategies, and critical thinking skills they need to be successful at university.
