Professor Marie-Odile Junker and her research team are pleased to announce the launch of a new version of their East Cree and Innu online language lessons, which were first developed starting in 2006. In 2018-19, due to software obsolescence, the entire platform was redesigned and redeveloped thanks to a grant from the National Research Council Canada (NRC). At the same time, numerous improvements were made in terms of both content and user experience.

The lessons promote literacy in Innu standard orthography and East Cree syllabics, with activities based on thematic vocabulary and grammar concepts. Activities include matching words to images, scrambled words, missing letters, crosswords, and more.
