Please join the incoming Undergraduate Advisor and the Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) Practicum Coordinator for an information session about the Practicum in Speech-Language Pathology (LING 4604).

There are a limited number of practicum placements available. Priority will be given to students who meet all of the eligibility criteria listed below, and who have demonstrated professionalism. Responses to questions on the application form will also be considered.
Eligibility Criteria
- Fourth-year standing (in the semester where the practicum is completed)
- Enrollment in the Honours B.A. or B.Sc. in Linguistics with a concentration in Psycholinguistics and Communication Disorders/Differences
- Completion of LING 2604 and 3604 (Communication Differences and Disabilities I & II)
- Linguistics major CGPA of at least 10.0
How to Apply
- Read the information sheet (linked here) and attend the information session on May 21.
- Complete the application form (linked here).
- Send the completed application form, your CV, and a copy of your audit as a single PDF document to the Program Coordinator, Tamara Sorenson Duncan (tamara.sorensonduncan@carleton.ca), by the deadline.
The deadline to apply to complete the practicum during either the Fall 2025 semester or the Winter 2026 semester is May 24, 2025.
