1:00 - Opening Address and ‘Dialogue’




Five scholars specializing in five different areas—including Applied Linguistics, Education, Political Science and Sociology—will talk about ways they are thinking and about questions they are asking in five minutes or less.




2:00 - Interactive Poster Presentation




Students across disciplines will join in conversation and showcase their research in the areas of language, linguistics, pedagogy, discourse, and/or writing studies.



Call for Posters




Grad students and fourth year students are invited to submit poster abstracts related to all things language



Use “Poster Proposal - YOUR NAME” as the subject line



Include title and an abstract (< 200 words) in the body of your email



Send your abstracts to salads.carleton@gmail.com by Monday, October 20th




 (Abstracts submitted after October 20th will be considered but not included in the program.)
