Sociology PhD student Megan Linton has published an article with Professor Kelly Fritsch in the most recent issue of the Journal of Literary and Cultural Disability Studies. The article is titled “Cripistemologies of Drug Use Against Institutional Carceral Ableism” and brings together critical drug studies and critical disability studies to unpack some of the ways transinstitutional carceral ableism conjoins control strategies of punishment-therapy-abandonment to note its debilitating and deadly consequences and ways of resisting. The article can be found here.
