Thinking about a career outside academia? In this workshop, we’ll discuss how to prepare for the “alt-academic” job market. We’ll highlight additional career services available to grad students at Carleton, and show how to translate your academic skills into valuable labour market skills that can be used for resumes and interviews.
This hands-on workshop is co-hosted by Yvonne Collins and Stacey-Ann Morris from Career Services at Carleton University.

The Graduate Student Transitions Series is a peer-based workshop series that focuses on equipping graduate students and recent alumni with resources, strategies and information about a wide range of career paths available post-grad school. These hands-on, skill-building workshops cover a range of topics, from developing essential tools for the job market (CVs, resumes, teaching dossiers) to navigating the job market itself (networking, applying for postdocs, preparing for interviews and job talks).
