My talk will focus on four aspects: (1) the evolution of the recent civic activism and engagement in Central and Eastern Europe, (2) the Romanian case as reflected in the past five years during the anti-governmental protests, (3) youth Romanian activism and mobilization, its resources and strategies, and their political and social impact, and (4) the particularities of the Romanian case among other similar contentious events in Central and Eastern Europe.
