The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Carleton University is hosting an Open House from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. (EST) on Wednesday, December 8.
At this event we will be hosting an interactive panel of current and recently graduated undergraduate students who will be sharing their experiences with high school attendees about undergraduate life, study and future career opportunities.
If you are interested in learning more about our department, the faculty and students who work and study here, and the kind of research and teaching we do, check out our latest ‘Out Reach and Teach’ High School Podcast Series featuring faculty and students discussing the sociology and anthropology of an everyday object such as smartphones: Sociology of Smartphones and Anthropology of Smartphones.
Students may also be interested in our recent ‘Speaker Series’ videos ‘Making Sense of the Pandemic’, featuring a range of sociology and anthropology faculty involved in teaching courses and doing research in the field of social justice and community engagement.
