Please join Dr. Laura Hall and the Decolonization and Anti-racism Committee for the first session of the reading group, Sociology and Indigenous Sovereignties.
What are our responsibilities to Indigenous sovereignties, Indigenous independence movements, and to undoing/challenging settler colonialism in so-called Canada? This reading group will jump into that discussion, inclusive of contemporary challenges rooted in settler colonial eradication (of Indigenous Peoples)/replacement (by white-settler nation/individual ownership) goals, addressing the Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, the TRC, and other contemporary conversations about environmental change.
