Overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Institute of African Studies, Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies, and Feminist Institute of Transformation Studies in partnership with the Ottawa Catholic School Board invite you to this year\u2019s final presentation of \u201cAnti-Black Racism, Gender, and Class: Through the Arts\u201d. This presentation is the result of the hard work of third year Carleton undergraduate students who had the unique opportunity to work alongside OCSB high school students to create a theatrical project that addresses social oppression. Five student led \u201cForum Theatre\u201d plays will be performed, under the umbrella of Augusto Boal\u2019s Theatre of the Oppressed<\/em>. Audience members will be invited to participate as \u201cspect-actors\u201d who intervene in the scenes and advocate for better social outcomes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
