Borna has a B.Sc. degree in Teaching Social Sciences and an M.Sc. degree in Social Sciences Research from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in Iran. She has graduated academically with the first rank among 35 undergraduate students and four master students. Her M.Sc. thesis was titled, \u201cExplanation of factors affecting married women\u2019s consumption attitudes: A survey on young women.\u201d Borna has taught in a variety of areas, including sociology of third world countries, human ecology, anthropology, rural sociology, research methods, urban anthropology, and Iranian nations at Yazd University and the University of Applied Science and Technology in Iran. Her research interests are in the areas of women, gender, family, youth, and inequality with a focus on qualitative research methods. She is an expert in MAXQDA, qualitative data analysis software. She has been a Visiting Research Student in the Department of Sociology at the University of Saskatchewan in Canada. It is interesting to mention that she has received her International Table Tennis Umpire Certificate from the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Borna is currently working on her Ph.D. dissertation on the topic of how young women define success under the supervision of Professor <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/socanth\/people\/abdo-nahla\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nahla Abdo<\/a> at Carleton University.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":14328,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"cu_people_first_name":"Effat","cu_people_last_name":"Borna","cu_people_initials":"","footnotes":"","_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"cu_people_type":[44],"cu_people_expertise":[],"class_list":["post-14325","cu_people","type-cu_people","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","cu_people_type-visiting-scholar"],"acf":{"cu_people_job_title":"Visiting Researcher","cu_people_degree":"B.Sc. in Teaching Social Sciences; M.Sc. in Social Sciences Research.
