I quickly developed a passion for my Anthropology courses and became enthralled with my class readings. Beyond the fascinating content to be explored through the wide range of course offerings within Carleton’s Department of Sociology and Anthropology, the Professors are truly extraordinary. I felt unwavering support and encouragement from my Professors and the department at large. With small class sizes, I also experienced a tightly bonded and corroborative cohort – many of whom I keep in touch with today.

My Anthropology specialization truly shaped the ways in which I view the world today, in both my personal and professional lives. My courses prepared me for my Masters degree at Queen’s University and my current position as a Program Assistant with Universities Canada in a myriad of ways. I walked away from my Undergraduate studies with excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, and gained an invaluable understanding of societies on a cross-cultural level.
