Mathieu&#8217;s medal-nominated dissertation on &#8220;Insurance Risks as Fictitious Commodities: The Institutional Constitution of Insurance Markets&#8221; was co-supervised by Aaron Doyle and Philippe Steiner from the Sorbonne. Mathieu will be taking up a SSHRC postdoctoral fellowship in January at Concordia University\u2019s Karl Polanyi Institute of Political Economy.
