Wally is retiring July 1st as a Chancellor\u2019s Professor after a very distinguished career at Carleton since 1980, including stints as Dean of FASS and of Graduate Studies. Wally is very well known and loved on campus, and is a key figure in the development of Canadian sociology and political economy. The Department is collecting donations for a Graduate Scholarship to recognize Wally\u2019s tremendous 38 years at Carleton. The university will match funds. The award will be split between grad students in our department and Political Economy.
