Hymie Anisman

Hymie Anisman is a Canada Research Chair in Behavioural Neuroscience at Carleton University. His CIHR funded work addresses animal models of depression and the translation of these processes to understanding clinical depression in humans. The focus of his research involves the biological and psychosocial underpinnings of stress-related pathologies and their comorbidity with physical illnesses. Anisman is a Fellow of the Royal Society and was recipient of the Hans Lehmann Award from the Canadian College of Neuropsychopharmacology (CCNP). He is on the Editorial Board of several journals, and has served on CIHR research panels for over 15 years.
