Celebrate Black History Month 2021

March 6, 2021 at 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

On behalf of the Carleton University School of Social Work’s (CUSSW) Black History Committee, we would like to cordially invite members of the Ottawa community and beyond to our annual Black History celebration entitled Black History is Every Month!

On Saturday, March 6th from 7:00 pm- 9:00 pm, viewers can take part in this year’s Black History event through a virtual experience that will foster cross-cultural understanding and appreciation through critical discussions, storytelling and performances. The event will highlight African diasporic accomplishments and culture, as well as draw attention to the challenges, strengths and resilience of Black communities in Canada. In particular, there will be a focus on the importance and value of celebrating Black History every day.

We look forward to having you join us on the evening of March 6th. Please share this invitation widely with your contacts and networks by downloading this event poster or sharing the news on Instagram @CUBHC.
