The CHAIM Centre would like to invite all interested parties to the upcoming Brown Bag Series.

 The next in the series will feature Dr. Smita Pakhalé, MD, FRCPC, MSc (Epi & Biostat)– Presenting “The Bridge Engagement Centre: Meaningful ‘Patient Engagement’ to tackle tobacco and opioid crises”

 Dr. Pakhalé is a clinician-scientist at the Ottawa Hospital and Ottawa Hospital Research Institute (adult pulmonologist) leading community-based research projects at the Bridge Engagement Centre (the Bridge) on 216 Murray St., in downtown Ottawa, Canada, near Ottawa’s largest homeless shelter. The target population at the Bridge is the most at-risk population (homeless or at-risk for homelessness, low-income). They work in a true partnership with this target population. Dr. Pakhalé will be presenting on her ‘Patient Engagement’ model operationalized at the Bridge.

 

This talk will be held on January 19th in room 4351 Herzberg Laboratories (department of math and statistics)
