Required Qualifications<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

SOWK 4000 Social Work and Indigenous Peoples<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Required Academic Qualifications and Skills:<\/strong> Candidates must hold an MSW (or related) degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Required Professional Qualifications and Skills:<\/strong> Minimum three years post-MSW experience working in social work practice. Expertise in social work with Indigenous peoples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teaching Competence:<\/strong> Preference given to candidates who have experience teaching courses on social work by and with Indigenous peoples. Candidates must be prepared to use Brightspace, Zoom, Microsoft Teams and other web-based teaching and learning platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other Relevant Experience:<\/strong> Candidates will have demonstrated knowledge of the history of social work with Indigenous peoples, the impact of the Indian Act, treaties, and residential schools, and their implications for social work, including truth and reconciliation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
