\n MSW community practice class engages in Green Social Work through experiential learning\n <\/h1>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

This fall, Dr. Tsitsi Mpofu-Mketwa’s MSW community practice class visited the Sawmill Creek shoreline in an experiential learning opportunity that saw them join the Greenspace Stewardship Committee of the Alta Vista Community Association to uproot invasive species and add native plants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nathalie Bradbury and Suzanne Doerge of the AVCA Greenspace Stewardship Committee and Dr. Mpofu-Mketwa co-authored an article for Vistas, the Alta Vista-Canterbury Community Newsletter, to discuss the partnership and Green Social Work in more detail.  The full article can be viewed on page 18 of the newsletter, linked here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
