Revised 1995.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Helen Levine Bursary<\/strong><br><strong>One award of $2,100<\/strong><br>This bursary may be awarded to one or two students who require special financial assistance to complete their studies in social work. Preference will be given to female students who have demonstrated an interest in pursuing research and practice in women&#8217;s issues or feminist counseling.&nbsp; Endowed in 1990 in honour of retired Professor Helen Levine, recipient of the Governor General&#8217;s Persons Award for 1989.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Special Bursary for Students in Social Work<\/strong><br><strong>Two awards of $2,500<\/strong><br>Awarded annually to one or more graduate students in the School of Social Work who require special financial assistance to continue or complete their studies. Endowed 1978.&nbsp; Revised 2006.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>School of Social Work 50th Anniversary Bursary<\/strong><br><strong>Two awards of $2,050<\/strong><br>Established in 1999 by alumni, faculty and staff in recognition of the 50th anniversary of the School of Social Work, this bursary is awarded annually to students in the School of Social Work who require financial assistance to continue their studies.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>The Janet E.G. Conger Graduate Bursary in Social Work<\/strong><br><strong>One award of $1,200<\/strong><br>Awarded annually to one or more graduate students in the School of Social Work who require financial assistance in order to continue or complete their studies. Recipients must be Canadian Citizens or permanent residents of Canada (landed immigrant or a protected person) and must also meet the OSAP Ontario residency requirements.&nbsp; Endowed in 2006 by the Estate of Janet E.G. Conger<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Brian MacIntosh Bursary in Social Work<\/strong><br><strong>$4,000 total (minimum award value is $2000 for graduate students and $1000 for undergraduate students)<\/strong><br>Awarded annually to one or more senior undergraduate or graduate students in the School of Social Work who require financial assistance in order to continue to complete their studies. Recipients must be Canadian Citizens or permanent residents of Canada (landed immigrant or a protected person) and must also meet OSAP&#8217;s Ontario residency requirement.&nbsp; Recipients must also demonstrate financial need.&nbsp; Endowed in 2006 by family, friends and colleagues, in memory of Brian MacIntosh.&nbsp; Brian was a child protection worker at the Children&#8217;s Aid Society of the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry in Cornwall.&nbsp; He graduated from the Carleton University School of Social Work in 2003.&nbsp; He died in a boat accident in September 2003.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Doug &amp; Ollie Bullock<\/strong><br><strong>$30,000 total (minimum award value is $2000 for graduate students and $1000 for undergraduate students)<\/strong><br>Awarded annually to an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in the School of Social Work.&nbsp; Preference will be given to those studying in the Centre for Studies in Poverty and Social Justice. Recipients must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada (landed immigrant or a protected person), meet OSAP&#8217;s Ontario residency requirements and demonstrate financial need.
