Several opportunities are available for skilled and highly motivated graduate students interested in joining the lab to pursue research in the areas of control<\/strong>, robotics<\/strong>, and computer vision<\/strong> with applications to spacecraft guidance, navigation and control<\/strong>. Most projects focus on both fundamental developments and experimental laboratory validations.<\/p>\n

We are particularly looking for students with a strong background in dynamic systems modeling and simulation, control theories, linear algebra, and robotics. Good knowledge of MATLAB\/Simulink is required. For students interested in computer vision projects, basic knowledge of hands-on programming in C\/C++, Linux and OpenCV is an asset.<\/p>\n

Graduate Students<\/strong>
\nProspective students interested in joining the lab and satisfying all admission requirements<\/a> should apply online<\/a>. Exceptional students with strong GPAs (10.7 and above) are highly encouraged to seek funding through prestigious external sources<\/a>, such as NSERC and OGS. A number of internal awards<\/a> are also available.<\/p>\n

Postdoctoral Researchers<\/strong>
\nExperienced researchers in the area of control, robotics, and computer vision with strong publication record in relevant conferences and journals are encouraged to join the lab. Please contact Prof. Ulrich directly and review postdoc scholarships and funding opportunities; for example, NSERC PDF<\/a> and Mitacs Elevate<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Undergraduate Students<\/strong>
\nThere are several opportunities for NSERC USRA<\/a>-eligible domestic undergraduate students who wish to join as Research Assistants over the course of one summer. If interested, please contact Prof. Ulrich directly.<\/p>\n

International Research Assistants<\/strong>
\nSenior undergraduate students from France, China, India, Mexico, or Vietnam can also join the lab for a 12-week research internship under the MITACS Globalink Research Internship program<\/a>. After successfully completing the 12-week program, Globalink Research Intern alumni become automatically eligible to apply for a MITACS Globalink Graduate Fellowship ($10,000) to continue at the M.A.Sc. level in the lab.<\/p>\n

Exchange Students<\/strong>
