With this prestigious award, Prof. Ulrich and his research team will develop adaptive algorithms to modify, in real-time, the behavior of the on-board control system, thereby enabling a robotic spacecraft to autonomously and safely interact with space debris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Experimental validation of the innovative adaptive control algorithms will be conducted with the Spacecraft Proximity Operations Testbed; a unique gravity-offset facility in Canada which is part of Prof. Ulrich\u2019s Spacecraft Robotics and Control Laboratory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The official announcement can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/research.carleton.ca\/distinctions\/cu-research-achievement-awards\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the Research Achievement Awards<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Carleton University Research Achievement Awards are administered by the Office of the Vice-President (Research and International).
