Frances Abele is seeking an incoming doctoral student to engage with a SSHRC Partnership Grant research project on modern treaty governance. Partners are the members of the Land Claims Agreement Coalition and several academics from the University of Laval, University of Montreal, and Carleton University. The specific area of interest is the fiscal relationship. The research position comes with a $20,000/year stipend, and expenses. The stipend is in addition to Carleton financial aid granted upon admission. SSHRC funding may continue year to year, but it is not guaranteed. There will be some travel opportunities.
