CSERC: Re-energizing Canada and Building the Next Generation of Energy Leaders

September 19, 2017 at 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Location:2017 Dunton Tower
Cost:Free

In April 2017, the Federal Minister of Natural Resources Jim Carr launched a national dialogue to encourage Canadians to share their ideas and participate in building a vision for Canada’s energy future. The purpose is to identify the values that should guide us, the goals that we should seek to achieve, and the pathways to get us there.  To inform this dialogue, NRCan commissioned an independent, scholarly report on the transition to a low carbon economy by 71 academics from Sustainable Canada Dialogues.

Carleton Professor James Meadowcroft was one of the lead authors involved in crafting RE-ENERGIZING CANADA: Pathways to a Low Carbon Future.

Matt Brady is a graduate of the Sustainable Energy Policy and Engineering Program and is co-leading the Generation Energy consultations

Come join us for an exploration of this Ministerial initiative and the background report.
