Equity and Inclusive Communities offers a 2.5 hour workshop to increase student, staff and faculty knowledge in supporting individuals who disclose sexual violence. This innovative method helps you build skills to support students and colleagues through listening, as well as through doing, making and storytelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"learning-outcomes\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Learning Outcomes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>By the end of this workshop, faculty and staff will be able to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide trauma-informed support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>De-stigmatize conversations about sexual violence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify myths about sexual violence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Centre the survivor in the process<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recall resources on and off campus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Explain the process and procedures of the Sexual Violence Policy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"what-to-expect-at-the-session\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">What to expect at the session<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Session Length: 2.5 hours<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This workshop may include the following activities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Content warning: training includes topics related to sexual violence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Periods of sitting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Listening to a facilitator<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Discussion and interaction with colleagues<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creation of visual materials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Viewing a multimedia presentation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Viewing a video<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Carleton University embraces diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
