Make sure you complete the attendance process while in the workshop, and the session will automatically be applied to your progress toward your Student Support Certificate. Workshops range from 1.5 hours to 3 hours each, and you must complete 5 to earn your certificate. There were four required sessions: Resources and Referrals, Effective Communication and De-escalation Skills, Cross-Cultural Competence Training, and Indigenous Cultural Awareness. Participants also had to choose two electives: Supporting Students in Distress or Responding to Disclosures of Sexual Violence, and one free elective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the new program, participants can choose any 5 workshops. Each facilitator sets a minimum and maximum number of participants to ensure an effective learning environment. If the maximum capacity has been reached, you will be able to put your name on a waitlist for the next available spot.
