She is an award-winning educator and researcher recognized for her leadership in experiential, interdisciplinary and inclusive engineering education.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cruickshank\u2019s\u00a0research\u00a0expertise\u00a0focuses on advanced building energy systems, including high-performance building envelopes, thermal energy storage, renewable and low-carbon energy technologies, sustainable materials and building decarbonization strategies. Through CABER, she leads collaborative research with industry, government and academic partners to advance sustainable building technologies and support the transition to net-zero buildings and communities.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to her research,\u00a0Cruickshank has held leadership roles focused on equity, diversity and inclusion, including serving as\u00a0the\u00a0Associate Dean of\u00a0Equity, Diversity and\u00a0Inclusion (EDI)\u00a0in the Faculty of Engineering and Design.
