He holds a PhD in Biology from the University of Ottawa and brings experience as a lab manager, contract&nbsp;instructor&nbsp;and post-doctoral fellow. His professional background combines&nbsp;expertise&nbsp;in science, higher education, program&nbsp;development&nbsp;and collaboration with academic and external partners.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hermer currently supports the development and implementation of new academic programs designed to meet emerging educational and workforce needs. He has&nbsp;facilitated&nbsp;the creation of several innovative programs, including the Bachelor of Science in Nursing with R.N. Prescribing, the Bachelor of Data&nbsp;Science&nbsp;and the Master\u2019s in Mineral Exploration and Resource Management.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His interests lie in creating opportunities that connect academic learning with practical applications and fostering collaboration between universities,&nbsp;industry&nbsp;and community stakeholders.
