Using a scenario-based design approach, participants explored the future of higher education across three horizons: current realities (2025), pivotal shifts (2030) and long-term aspirations (2042). Discussions focused on six key themes: the higher education sector, teaching and learning, research and creative practice, financial sustainability, student experience, and technology and AI. <br><br>A central theme emerged throughout the session: the need to move from a transactional model of higher education to a more relational, human-centred model grounded in belonging, lifelong learning, intellectual development and public impact.
