What is a billing hour?<\/h3>\n

For undergraduate students, the billing hours for a particular course are usually equal to the academic credit value for the course; however, some exceptions can occur, such as thesis\/research work and certain intensive language courses. To confirm the billing hours of your selected courses, view the Add\/Drop page of Carleton Central \u2013 your billing and academic credit hours are summarized here.<\/p>\n

How do I calculate my fees?<\/h3>\n

If you know the number of billing hours you have, or plan to have, take the appropriate fee amount above and multiply by the number of billing hours. In addition, the \u2018Calculate Amount to Pay\u2019 page on\u00a0Carleton Central<\/a>\u00a0will automatically perform this calculation.<\/p>\n

Co-op Fees:<\/h3>\n

Undergraduate students in the co-op stream of their academic program will pay a co-op program fee. This is distributed into 7 or 8 equal payments of $390 depending upon your program of study.<\/p>\n

Compulsory Miscellaneous Fees<\/a><\/h3>\n

Included\u00a0in the full-time and per-billing- hour fees quoted above are the following\u00a0compulsory miscellaneous fees<\/em><\/strong>. Each is an allocation of the board-approved composite fee..<\/p>\n

Carleton University uses a portion of every student\u2019s fees, as approved by the Board of Governors, to support services on campus. Fees for campus services are not use-based.\u00a0Students are not eligible for a refund if they do not use one or more of the campus services.<\/strong>\u00a0The limited\u00a0exceptions<\/a>\u00a0to this rule are noted on the main fee page.<\/p>\n
