Carleton University is pleased to support and work in partnership with students who are being sponsored by third party organization while studying at Carleton University.<\/p>\n
While we make every effort to communicate with sponsored students regarding fees and the current status of sponsorship agreements, it is the student’s responsibility to monitor their student account to ensure that all fees are paid and received by Carleton University. The student is responsible to pay any portion of their fees that their sponsor declines to cover.<\/p>\n
In order to proceed with a sponsorship agreement, we need to share the student’s student account information with their sponsor. If a student has concerns or questions regarding the sharing of their account information, contact us via one of the methods on our sidebar.<\/p>\n
Information sheet for sponsored students<\/a><\/p>\n A sponsored student is a student whose educational expenses are paid, either in part or in full, by a third-party organization directly to Carleton University.\u00a0<\/p><\/dd> Student Accounts requires a copy of the sponsorship agreement between you and your sponsor. Sponsorship agreements can be sent directly to student_accounts@carleton.ca and must\u00a0include the following information:<\/p>\n <\/p><\/dd> Ensure that Student Accounts\u00a0has received your sponsorship agreement prior to the term payment deadlines.<\/p><\/dd> Carleton University\u00a0issues invoices after the financial\u00a0withdraw\u00a0deadline<\/a>\u00a0for the term has passed. This is the date in which the fees are finalized and cannot be changed by the student. Since we issue invoices after the financial withdraw deadline, we do not charge any late fees or interest on sponsored accounts.<\/p><\/dd> After invoices have been issued, students will see a line added to their account on Calculate Amount to Pay called ‘Sponsored Students’. This is the amount a student’s sponsored has been invoiced for. Any remaining balance for that term is the student’s responsibility to pay. <\/p><\/dd> Some sponsored students may be covered for\u00a0UHIP<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0accident, drug and dental insurance<\/a>\u00a0by their sponsor.\u00a0In the case of UHIP, student should contact the\u00a0International Student Services Office<\/a> to inquire into how to opt out. In the case of the accident, drug and dental plan, student should contact CUSA<\/a>\u00a0(undergraduate students) \/\u00a0GSA<\/a>\u00a0(graduate students) to opt out.<\/p><\/dd><\/div>\n
