If you have a news item, event or other messaging you would like to communicate to current students, please use the <a href=\"https:\/\/sarms.carleton.ca\/stu-comm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">student communications submission form<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"student-communication-policy\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Student Communication Policy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The purpose of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/secretariat\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/158\/2025\/10\/Student-Communication-Policy-2025.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Student Communication Policy<\/a>&nbsp;[PDF, 179 KB] is to increase the awareness and use of communication tools available for use and to promote best practices in the selection of communication tools when communicating to students. To achieve this, the policy identifies three guiding principles:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Consistency: using communication vehicles consistently based on the type of message<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consolidation: aggregating messages using communication vehicles like websites and newsletters<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Simplification: making it easy for students to find what they need<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"student-communication-network\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Student Communication Network<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Student Communications Network connects Carleton University staff who communicate with students with best practices, resources and reminders.
