\n Coordinated Accessibility Strategy Renewal\n <\/h1>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Dear Members of the Carleton Community,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carleton University takes pride in being considered one of Canada\u2019s most accessible universities. Since the launch of Carleton\u2019s Coordinated Accessibility Strategy (CAS)<\/a> in June 2020, progress has been made on almost all of the 40 recommendations proposed in the strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notable examples include the launch of the Canadian Accessibility Network<\/a>, the development of accessible characteristics for space bookings<\/a>, the creation of an accessible event guide<\/a>, introducing adaptive sport and recreation<\/a>, the creation of the accessibility commons<\/a>, conducting physical campus audits, the creation of the researchers in accessibility network<\/a>, the acclamation of Carleton University\u2019s Accessibility Institute<\/a> and the launch of a master\u2019s level Collaborative Specialization in Accessibility<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although there has been a great deal of progress, we acknowledge there is still work to be done. Over the next six months, we will be engaging with the entire community in a collaborative process to renew Carleton\u2019s Coordinated Accessibility Strategy. Members of the Carleton community are encouraged to provide feedback through our consultation website<\/a>, attend one of the upcoming consultation sessions<\/a> or email AccessibilityStrategy@carleton.ca<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We look forward to collaborating with you in the renewal of this strategy where, together, we can work towards creating a more accessible and inclusive world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
