Carleton University utilizes the Green Globe rating system to certify the sustainability credentials of new construction and large-scale retrofits on campus. The Green Globe certification reflects the degree to which the construction materials and systems are designed to be efficient and healthy.
In 2008, Carleton received its first certified building, and to date, 11 buildings on campus have been certified.
