The results of the UI Green Metric<\/a>\u00a0World University Ranking 2021 was announced this week. Carleton\u00a0was pleased to be ranked 39th overall and 2nd in Canada.\u00a0There was a\u00a0significant increase in\u00a0participants compared to last year year, with 956 universities from over 90 different countries.\u00a0The rankings are the first and only university rankings in the world that feature each\u00a0participating university\u2019s commitment in developing an\u00a0\u2018environmental\u00a0friendly\u2019\u00a0university. The rankings look at a number of\u00a0indicators including infrastructure, energy, climate change and education. While Carleton continues to strive for Sustainability and to ensure the implementation of our key\u00a0strategic plans, this provides a good signpost of the progress on our long journey towards zero carbon.<\/p>\n
