In this talk, Mark Whelan and Carl Haeussler will discuss Evolugen\u2019s growth and recent activities, focusing on the deployment of battery energy storage systems (BESS) in Ottawa. They will touch on topics including BESS siting and permitting, with a focus on the scope of the studies and plans that are required\u2014at the engineering, planning, and environmental levels\u2014before decisions are made. Component sourcing and construction will also be discussed, as well as the critical role of transmission interconnections.
