Climate solutions are popular, affordable, technologically possible and are essential to avert catastrophic planetary warming, yet what we see in development include false solutions, fossil fuel expansionism and environmental rollbacks. Recognizing policies are shaped by political pressure, the task at hand for the climate concerned is to rebuild political leverage. This talk asks what barriers and opportunities exist to advance solutions we know are needed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the speaker: <\/strong>John Woodside is an award winning journalist and works as the Parliamentary Bureau Chief with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalobserver.com\/u\/john-woodside\">Canada\u2019s National Observer<\/a>. He was named to Canada Clean50&#8217;s in 2023 for his reporting on the climate and related issues.
