The application process for the 2019-2020 academic year is now closed.
Interested departments must complete the following form if they wish to be considered for participation in the program.
*Please note that this is a competitive process — completing this form does not guarantee your department a TA Mentor.*
The form should be completed by the faculty member (usually the graduate supervisor) who would oversee the program for 2019-2020 (this individual is the “Primary Contact” on the form). This is especially important for departments that will be replacing their Graduate Supervisor on July 1, 2019, in order to ensure that clear communication of the department’s commitment to the program carries over. Outgoing supervisors should be listed as a “Secondary Contact.”
Application Deadline: Thursday, August 8, 2019
Key Considerations for Selecting A Mentor
- Note that the EDC will not ask to interview Mentors after they have been identified by their departments. Departments are encouraged to develop their own criteria and screening process. For this purpose, when selecting their candidate, departments may wish to consider this list of successful Mentor characteristics, as well as the range of activities required of them.
- Note also that
- The candidate must be able to attend 2~ full day(s) of compulsory training in August 2019, as well as complete an online training suite
