Opening reception will be held on the first day of the conference (Monday, August 21st) in Richcraft Hall Atrium<\/a>, 6:00-8:00 p.m.\u00a0In addition to an array of hors d’oeuvres and drinks, there will be a Jazz trio to set the mood for the evening. This is an excellent opportunity to relax and meet other conference attendees. The Richcraft Hall Atrium is located at the heart of the conference venue.\u00a0The reception is free and all are welcome.<\/p>\n

With panoramic views of Dows Lake and Queen Juliana Park, the Lago’s Vista Room and the adjacent patio are an ideal spot for the TBLT 2019 conference attendees to take in the city\u2019s views and enjoy a taste of Canadiana. The dinner will be buffet style and will accommodate different tastes and dietary restrictions.\u00a0The restaurant has an elevator and is wheelchair accessible.<\/p>\n

Price: $80.00 CDN (the price includes a glass of wine with the meal).<\/p>\n

Join a gallery educator for a walk-through tour of Carleton University Art Gallery\u2019s summer exhibition,\u00a0Marlene Creates: Places, Paths, and Pauses.\u00a0<\/i>We\u2019ll look at and discuss the photographs, sculptures and poetry of this Newfoundland-based environmental artist, whose work explores the complex and layered relationships between people and the natural world they inhabit. The Art Gallery is located in St. Patrick\u2019s Building<\/a> (on campus), in close proximity to the conference venue. The\u00a0tour is free and all are welcome.<\/p>\n
