Gazelle Manuel is a graduate student currently pursuing her studies\u00a0at\u00a0Carleton University in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology.\u00a0Her research interests include critical multiculturalism studies, the sociology of food and cuisine, immigrant\/ethnic entrepreneurship, and the Filipino Diaspora in Canada.<\/p>\n
Gazelle has spent several\u00a0years working in disability-related fields (the University of Winnipeg, Government of Manitoba’s Children’s Disability Services, Canadian Centre on\u00a0Disability Studies), in addition to working a variety of research assistantships at the University of Winnipeg (Women’s and Gender Studies; Sociology; Community Health) over the years.<\/p>\n
