Our Journey is a documentary film figuring the collective voice of girls and women with disabilities in Vietnam, who engage in the Transforming Disability Knowledge, Research, and Activism (TDKRA) project. We tell stories drawn on our past and present experiences with disability, our journey against institutional racism, ableism, and gender inequality, and our desire and actions to foster positive social change in the global South.<\/p>\n

Exhibition Catalogue<\/a><\/p>\n

This exhibition catalogue, entitled\u00a0Envisioning Inclusion, presents a collection of art work produced by girls and women with disabilities participating in the Transforming Disability Knowledge, Research, and Activism (TDKRA) project in July 2017 and January 2018. The catalogue is used as a tool for the girls and women to reflect on their own visual works and mobilize their knowledge on their rights to inclusion (De Lange, Nguyen, & Nghiem, 2016).<\/p>\n

Participatory Analysis<\/a><\/p>\n

Six composite stories are used as digital media tools for participatory analysis which allowed the girls and women with disabilities to reflect on their own narratives. The participants discussed these stories, whether the stories reflected their own narratives, and the similarities and differences among those stories to get more meaningful understanding of the situations of girls and women across the communities.
