Janna Fox is the Director of the Language Assessment and Teaching Research Unit and a linguistics professor at Carleton University. She dedicates her academic research work to improving university education with innovative approaches to diagnostic assessment and curriculum development.<\/p>\n

Janna was awarded the prestigious 3M National Teaching Fellowship<\/a> in 2003 for educational leadership related to her work in curriculum design on both a campus and national level. She prioritized innovative student-centered teaching and transformative approaches to testing and assessment.<\/p>\n

Beyond her contributions within Carleton, Janna is also a founding member of the Canadian Association of Language Assessment and the principal developer of a number of high-stakes language tests including the Canadian Academic English Language Assessment.<\/p>\n
