Wayne Horn fell in love with math at a very early age. He viewed it like a game with very clear rules and he found it deeply satisfying that every math problem always had a correct answer.<\/p>\n
It is this love and appreciation for math that has guided Wayne\u2019s career thus far, bringing him to Carleton University\u2019s Department of Math and Statistics. It is that same appreciation and satisfaction that Wayne also instils in every student that walks through his door.<\/p>\n
His research interests are queueing theory, stochastic processes and games of chance. However, Wayne particularly loves statistical analysis, for its universal application and for the fact that it affords him the ability to remain a student and continue learning about other areas of study where he can apply his knowledge.<\/p>\n
