These faculty-led sessions are meant to be informal spaces where colleagues can share and discuss ideas with each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this session, <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/slals\/people\/hartwick-peggy\/\">Dr. Hartwick<\/a> will showcase an assignment designed in collaboration with a student and piloted at the graduate level. The assignment tasked students to document their language learning experiences with Duolingo and other AIs (such as ChatGPT) in their cuPortfolio. The assignment was designed to facilitate experiential learning opportunities through AI and stimulate reflection and integration of theoretical knowledge. The final project, situated within a storytelling narrative, asked students to produce a curation of their most significant learning experiences or \u2018ah ha\u2019 moments from this project.
