Because she joined the program in its early days, V\u00e9ronic was tasked with developing several new courses, and she did so in innovative ways. She organized fieldtrips for her students, introduced group work into a department that traditionally doesn\u2019t do group work, organized debates, and had students develop their own final exam questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a relatively short amount of time, she has had a profound impact on campus, whether by inspiring her students or through her many contributions to the scholarship of teaching and learning. In 2023, V\u00e9ronic received the <a href=\"https:\/\/ocufa.on.ca\/press-releases\/ocufa-awards-of-distinction-announced\/\">OCUFA Awards of Distinction<\/a> in recognition of her&nbsp;innovation and dedication to teaching and the higher education community.
