How Trauma Impacts the Brain: Reducing Stigma Around Addiction and Substance Use<\/a><\/p>\n

Effets des traumatismes sur le cerveau et stigmatisation des d\u00e9pendances et de l\u2019usage de substances<\/a><\/p>\n

Kim Hellemans, chair of Neuroscience, came to us with a script exploring the stigma surrounding addiction and the impact of childhood trauma on the brain. Visual treatments were developed in a collaborative effort with Prof. Hellemans and two student scriptwriters. Through this animation, we are able to view someone\u2019s story through a very unique lens.<\/p>\n

Capstone is designed to give students a real-life issue (in this case the opioid epidemic) to test how they work together and come up with new solutions.
