If you are interested in pursuing an award or know an outstanding educator who deserves recognition, then be sure to get your nomination or application in before the deadline on April 17. There are four awards currently open for nominations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Provost\u2019s Fellowship in Teaching Award<\/strong><br>\nThis award recognizes faculty and contract instructors dedicated to sustained excellence in teaching, scholarship of teaching and the continual development of teaching. Recipients are also designated as Carleton University Teaching Fellows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award<\/strong><br>\nThis award was established to recognize new faculty members who underscore Carleton\u2019s commitment to teaching excellence and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Excellence in Teaching with Technology Award<\/strong><br>\nThis award recognizes faculty and contract instructors who thoughtfully and meaningfully incorporate technology into their teaching and learning practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Excellence in Learning Support Award<\/strong><br>\nThis award recognizes the many educational support staff members who contribute to the student learning experience&nbsp;through their tireless work and support in labs, classrooms and many other diverse learning environments across Carleton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/teachinglearning\/awards\/internal-awards\/\">Get all the details on the awards here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nomination packages must be submitted in electronic form to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:oavptl@carleton.ca\">oavptl@carleton.ca<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have any questions about the awards or the nomination process, please contact TLS at 613-520-2344.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The nomination deadline for the 2016 Carleton University Teaching Awards is only a few weeks away.
